Don't sleep on "dumb" features if they bring joy. I once presented a reporting tool for the MSFT support community to a VP. A day later, he pulled me aside to talk about the reporting tool. His favorite feature: The "random question" we pulled to the home page. He just kept refreshing it to see more.

Ok - I'm more than a couple hours into this. I do product demos all the time, but condensing it down to a single < 5 (and ideally less than 3) minute home page video is time-consuming.

Then they waste time copying the parts that don’t matter like specific UI, headlines, or button color.

They miss the parts like talking to customers, delivering value, or good stories that made it a success story.

You don’t always need to improve the product. You may need to improve the experience of using the product.

The “experience” includes the help docs, how to videos, checkout, etc. it’s not limited to feature UX.
