I feel like Claude Code APIs are doing something to throttle based on location/IP. Three times now, at different popular coffee shops, Claude can’t connect to it’s API. Go back home… just fine. Am I crazy?

I’ve started moving off of using the CLIs and are using the Claude and Codex apps for coding.

The integrated browser is good for flagging UX bugs with it.
Browser also good for reviewing rich artifacts and architecture diagrams it creates.
Integrated markdown viewer and canvas for plan editing

Found a case where Gemini destroyed Claude and ChatGPT. Product research on a laptop.

Both lied about pricing and made up specs on laptop models. Both later admitted to using social media posts as proof on related model numbers.

Gemini got the current pricing right and accurate comparison tables.

Saw The Madalorian and Grogu.

TLDR: Star Wars didn’t bring its overall best. Didn’t have the heart of the TV show relationships.

The FX, Sound, and Muppet people however… they crushed it. Lots of weight to the action and fun moments with the space mechs.

AI should force companies towards more diversity.

As models push code, UX, documents, etc towards a statistical human average then the value from humans comes in pushing more diverse perspectives… at least that’s what should happen if you want to stand out.

What makes a lot of sense to me:

Local Apple AI models are really good at routing and tool calling with proper instructions.
For free you get to use that + Google Gemini for web research.
A shared revenue situation for frontier model providers to connect and power apps as tools on your phone.
