As a founder it always feels like there are 100 things you could do to move the needle. Picking the few you spend time on can feel debilitating. They all feel important.

Would anyone subscribe to a short, daily, podcast where each episode is a single AI prompting tip?

Crypto and Web 3 companies all follow the Donald trump pay for services method… delay delay delay… don’t pay.

I wanted to believe some were real.

They are not. If there’s a hint of “web 3” wanting to contract you, buy your product, etc. send them to a competitor instead.

It’s easy to get thrown off by competitors in your space. You watch so closely.

To you it looks like “there is no chance, look at all these options”

Most potential customers haven’t even realized any solution exists. Your challenge isn’t beating competitors. Your challenge is finding your customers.

Do you go ahead and rebrand/label everything in your app with “X” or wait till Elon has his next brain fart and rolls back this change?

A huge reason Social Media took over websites for small business… no one ever knew how to update their websites with content.

As web developers we didn’t make it easy.

Wordpress even made it complex compared to Facebook or Twitter ( I mean the site formerly known as twitter )

One of the hardest founder skills is learning not to chase every potential customer.

You’ll bend yourself over backwards for people that are really “customer adjacent” to your core features.

It gets even harder if they’ve already paid. You can smell the revenue.

There’s nothing more motivating to an early stage founder than user momentum. People trying your app and giving you feedback.

Work your ass off to get those first people onboarded even if you think the experience is a little embarrassing.

I hired my kids (11 and 13) to be my content producers.

Descript makes the video editing easy enough for them.

Work with AI or risk being replaced by someone that will.

I’ve heard of scaling issues while products are scaling up, but Twitter is having them while losing people. Tweets get this long pending message now and only 50% of my last few attempts have worked.

If AI is going to take over text based content then how will you stand out?

You need to dominate videos. Show your human side in an authentic way that much harder to replicate.

Platforms will also boost this content more since it’s easier to make “Ai free”.
